At the end of the day, I really do believe that aspiring photographers should invest in their skills first and gear second. With that said, gear does make a difference. I finally caved and upgrade to a full-frame ecosystem. This shoot was my first time playing around with the new setup, Canon R6 + Tamron 35 1.4, for those who may be curious. Kelsey and I romped around downtown Saskatoon and spent most of our time seeing what kind of neat images we could create using a nearby bus shelter. I really like how the plexiglass walls diffused the sunlight for those images!
Kelsey has been growing her modelling career and come so far (even since we took these images)! I couldn’t be more proud of how far she’s come and love every chance we get to work together! Follow along in her journey on Instagram.
I live downtown these days. If you find yourself thinking “damn that looks fun,” as you scroll through these images drop me a line and let’s chat about how we could make a creative portrait session happen for you!
