Emilie, Brandon and I met over beers at Nine Mile Brewery to start the exciting process of planning this elopement session. I don’t think the Covid Pandemic had great timing for most of us, but my heart goes out especially to those who planned weddings for 2020. For Emilie and Brandon, this meant effectively cancelling their entire wedding celebration in favour of a much more intimate ceremony. With Covid softening and vaccines rolling out we set out on planning a proper celebration with their families and wedding party in 2021.
After riffing on details, our next step was finding the right location. I love location scouting, especially when the clients I work with are excited to join in; it provides an opportunity to engage in the creative process together and form a shared vision. Super cool! It’s also a lot of fun to show off some of my favourite hidden gems! After exploring a few locations together we landed on Cranberry Flats, a nature reserve just south of Saskatoon.
The day of the elopement I met with Brandon and set him up for the first look, scroll down below to see more of what followed 🙂
Emilie and Brandon, working with you on this session and celebrating your love was truly special. Thank you!
