As a photographer, I am always thrilled when clients approach me with unique and creative ideas for their engagement sessions. Looking back on the images from our session, one vibe the images leave me with is that of dark academia. Dark academia, for those unfamiliar with the term, is a literary and aesthetic subculture characterized by its love for knowledge, books, and vintage elements. It's a style that exudes a romantic and intellectual vibe, and I knew it would make for an absolutely mesmerizing photo session.

Logan and Megan chose the picturesque city of Saskatoon as the backdrop for their engagement session. We decided to explore different locations that would bring their vision to life. Our first stop was the enchanting Garden Architecture, a lush green oasis nestled in the heart of the city. The rain had just subsided, leaving behind glistening droplets on the leaves, which added a touch of magic to the surroundings. I set up my equipment and instantly felt inspired by the cinematic potential of this location.

As Logan and Megan walked hand in hand through the meticulously manicured pathways, I focused on capturing their love in a timeless and elegant manner. The way they looked at each other, their genuine smiles, and the occasional stolen kisses made my job effortless. I wanted to maintain an air of mystery and sophistication throughout the shoot, so I incorporated a film-like aesthetic into the photographs.

After a successful session at Garden Architecture, we headed to the University of Saskatchewan, an institution known for its stunning architecture and rich history. With its ivy-covered buildings and grand archways, this location perfectly embodied the atmosphere of dark academia. Capturing Logan and Megan amidst these timeless structures, I couldn't help but feel like I was photographing a scene from a classic novel. We played around with different poses, utilizing the university's elements to create dramatic and visually striking compositions.

Our final location was Logan and Megan's cozy home, where they wanted to include their adorable dog in the photos.

As the session came to an end, I couldn't help but feel extremely grateful for the experience. Logan and Megan's natural chemistry and enthusiasm made this engagement session a truly memorable one. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to bring their love story to life through the lens of my camera, capturing moments that they will cherish forever.
